Historical information about Dionysos: According to the Greek mythology’s hypothetical legend, it's alleged that the world, in its golden age, was ruled by the God race, known as Titans legend.
The story goes that, Dionysos who’s known as the Olympian god in Greek mythology, lived in Denizli province, Bekilli and Çal neighborhoods.
According to the myth, Dionysos, who is known as one of the twelve Olympian Gods, is the son of Zeus, chief of the Olympians, and Semele, a woman of Thebes. He was born under his father Zeus’s auspices.
Dionysos, who is known as twice born, has a privileged place among the twelve Gods.
According to the Greek mythology, his symbol is known as the leaf of the grapevine.
He is best known as the god of vintage. According to the myth, there were vintage festivals organized in the name of Dionysos. By courtesy of those festivals, theatre was found.
Dionysos is described as reborn such as the grape tree which dies every year and turns back green again.
According to the Greek mythology, Dionysos, who is known as priapus god, is also known with his tough, resistant character.
He also holds the distinction of being between the line with pleasure and pain.
